Katie Campbell
After completing an English Literature degree from Sussex University, Katie's first foray into film saw her working for actor Richard Dreyfuss as his UK assistant. Her 18 months with Richard included a stint in Washington DC, co-ordinating his summer in LA filming Poseidon for Wolfgang Peterson and picking up his dry cleaning. Katie joined The Script Factory in 2006, where she helped produce, amongst other things, the flagship Skillset Writers’ Circle programme. She left us (physically, not spiritually) in 2007 to work at Ealing Studios for producer and Head of Studio, Barnaby Thompson and Executive Producer James Spring. While there she learnt an awful lot about film production and finance while working on both St Trinian’s and Easy Virtue. She left Ealing in 2008 to become a freelance writer. So far she has written half a teen novel and this biog.
She promises she will do better and will be blogging for The Script Factory during The Times 53rd London Film Festival and from anywhere else she is asked to go.
