SUBMITTING THE OUTLINE OF YOUR IDEA
It is difficult to write out an idea for film for even for the most experienced screenwriters so we know it is hard!
Remember to include the Title and your name.
Start by telling us a little bit about the idea and where it came from.
Is it a drama? Or documentary? Is it live action or animated, or both?
Is it a true story or was it inspired by a true story? If not, what was it that triggered this story, and made you want to write it?
And then tell us about the story.
When and where does the film take place?
Can you set up the world of the film? Is it contemporary, historic, futuristic? Is it family, work, urban, rural?
Is it about one or two key people, and if so, what are they called and who are they?
Can you briefly describe the situation of the characters at the beginning of the film?
What happens to this situation? What has changed by the end?
What is it that the characters are facing?
Is it something gritty or tragic? Or is it something funny?
Is it to do with another person or are they on their own?
Is there a key visual scene that you want the audience to remember? If so can you describe it?
And don't forget to tell us what happens at the end!
We look forward to receiving your application.
Good luck!
