Development Meetings

Filmmaking is a collaborative process but many new screenwriters work on their own for years before even discussing their project with another film professional.
You may have worked through several drafts and know that something doesn't quite yet work but are unsure whether you have correctly identified the source of the weakness. You might be weighing up the different directions the next draft could go and need to know which way has the most cinematic potential. Or you might just need a bit more help to sort out the best dramatic structure for your story.
If you are at a stage at which you think you would benefit from an in depth discussion about your script, then you may consider booking a development meeting with one of The Script Factory team.
Send your screenplay to us, we will read it, prepare some feedback and arrange a meeting to discuss it with you. This meeting will last approximately two hours and will be an opportunity for you to receive feedback on the current draft, discuss your intentions for the story and work on a plan for the next stage of development.
Alternatively, if you would like to discuss your story before attempting a complete draft (or the next draft) we are also able to discuss treatments. For this process we ask that you submit a treatment or outline of the story which is 4 - 8 pages long.
The cost of a Development Meeting based on a screenplay with one of our team is £300 + VAT (total £352.50).
The cost of a Development Meeting based on a 4 - 8 page treatment is £200 + VAT.
