Nina Duttaroy
Nina Duttaroy is a documentary film-maker, who was supported by Film London in 2008 to make a short documentary about a disabled Hell’s Angel.
The film recently won an award at the Tongues on Fire Film Festival. It has been screened at the BFI; the London Cultural Olympiad launch; the Lift and East End film festivals.
Nina is passionate about making films that raise questions and challenge perceived notions. She is inspired to make films that are intimate and revealing, and document the lives of fascinating people.
She has been influenced by a wide range of film-makers including Satyajit Ray and Mira Nair.
Nina has been selected on to the Digital Shorts scheme by B3 Media with the project Nothing is Impossible.
Nothing is Impossible (Working Title) is a moving and uplifting film about Fauja Singh, who is one of the oldest record-breaking long distance runners in the world.
The film will explore his faith as a key motivator, and will show his attempt at breaking another record.
