Anna
by Rachel Tunnard

Anna starts to lead a double life when she sees someone from her past. As history collides with the present, she is forced to confront the incident that defines her life.

Anna is frozen in time. Her life was irrevocably altered by the loss of her twin-brother six years earlier in an accident that involved her boyfriend Sam. They split up immediately afterwards, unable to face what happened, and have not seen each other since.

With three weeks left until the end of term, one of Anna’s pupils at school becomes disruptive and a mentor is brought into the classroom to support him. The mentor is Sam, Anna’s ex-boyfriend.

Anna is an intimate story about forgiveness and loss told through the eyes of someone who wants to make us laugh.

During She Writes Rachel was mentored by Neil Hunter.
