Film Script Reading

Caption
Would you have spotted the genius of Peter Morgan's The Queen at script stage?

The Script Factory's ever popular course offers a practical approach to assessing the potential of screenplays and preparing a feedback report for writers.

**Stop Press**
Script Reading has now sold out and there will be no more intakes during 2010 - email us now at general@scriptfactory.co.uk to get your name on the waiting list for a re-launched Script Reading programme coming in 2011

***We do also run a similar course for TV Drama Script Reading, and this is continuing during 2010 - please click here for further details.***

By examining produced screenplays and reading work by new screenwriters, participants will consider what makes a good screen story and learn to identify the potential within a script and recognise screenwriting talent. This course focuses on how to translate your analysis into constructive feedback for writers so that the script report becomes the first stage of script development. However, participants will also be advised on how to structure script reports to meet the requirements of production companies, distributors and funders.

Ideal for anyone who is new to the industry or for those who have some experience but are keen to move into a development role, this course provides a valuable insight into the essential beginnings of the film-making process. By reading an early draft of a successful British film you will get to see how what the results of that journey can be.
