Matt Walker
Matthew Walker is an animator, writer and director based in Bristol. He graduated from the University of Wales, Newport in 2005 with his animated film Astronauts. Last year Matthew completed two more short films; John and Karen for Channel 4's Daytime Shorts scheme and Operator which he made with help from students at the University of Wales Newport as part of a 4 week Animation Residency. Matthew is a director at Arthur Cox Ltd and is also represented by Aardman for commercial work.
Matt has been selected onto the Digital Shorts scheme by South West Screen with the project Little Face
Matthew Walker's digital short Little Face is about a man becoming re-aquainted with an old friend from his childhood who he never imagined he would see again; his imaginary friend Little Face. The film depicts their conversation over the course of an afternoon. The film will be shot live action with the character of Little Face achieved with computer animation composited in to the live action. Little Face will be Matthew's first live action film.
