We've grabbed an hour with Richard Linklater & colleagues

Mon, 16 Nov 2009
Richard Linklater is recognised as one of international cinema’s most exciting talents, with a back catalogue that ranges from Dazed and Confused and Before Sunrise, to The School of Rock and Fast Food Nation. He arrives in London this week to premiere his latest feature, Me And Orson Welles www.meandorsonwellesthemovie.com at Vue West End on Wednesday – and Script Factory Members have been given an exclusive hour with him and his screenwriter / co-producers, Vince Palmo & Holly Gent Palmo.
Starring Zac Efron, Claire Danes and Christian McKay, Me And Orson Welles is lively, sweet and thoroughly entertaining and follows an aspiring young actor heading to work at New York City's legendary Mercury Theatre where he lands a bit part in a staging of Julius Caesar by wunderkind Orson Welles. A collaborative piece, Vince and Holly wrote the screenplay based on the best-selling novel by Robert Kaplow as well as co-producing the film alongside Richard – and we’re delighted to have borrowed an hour with all three for a talk, illustrated with selected clips from the film, about the process of transforming novel into screenplay and onto film.
