We hate to sound like market traders, but here at The Script Factory we’re keen to make certain you get your money’s worth. Spotting that the current lovely reduction in VAT is about to come to an abrupt end, we are now scrambling to schedule new dates for the New Year across all our training courses. This will ensure you can book your place now and avoid the VAT price hike which kicks in this coming January 2010 on a great range of film training.
Courses include our ever-popular Film Script Reading Training and Television Drama Script Reading Training programmes, plus our various writer-focussed programmes including Screenwriting UK (which spends two days building up the skills you might need to write an impressive first draft and the inside knowledge to get it in front of those that count), and Truth and Fiction (a one day guide to structuring screen stories from existing material). All prices will increase from January but if you can book your place by 18 December (when The Script Factory closes its booking desk until the new year) then we’ll honour the existing price. Leave it any later and the price goes up – and it’s not even in our hands to stop it.
January will also see the price of our Membership increasing very slightly – but again, if you hurry you can beat the rise. The Script Factory Members are an excellent committed group who qualify for both substantial discounts on our training as well as a range of free tickets for live events. During 2009, Members have enjoyed free tickets for conversations and masterclasses with Oscar-winning screenwriters from Julian Fellowes, and Christopher Hampton to Charlie Kaufman; with performers ranging from Greg Kinnear and Colin Firth, and Diego Luna to Gael García Bernal; with world class directors from Stephen Frears, to Alfonso and Carlos Cuaron; with indie talents from Armando Iannucci to Gasper Noe; and have previewed new feature releases from In The Loop and 500 Days of Summer, to Dorian Gray, The Hurt Locker and Precious.
Just last week our Members had an exclusive private audience with Richard Linklater and watched Glorious 39 before joining Bill Nighy, Stephen Poliakoff and Romola Garai for a spirited on stage conversation afterwards. Again to beat the price increase you simply need to book in by 18 December. Full details about Script Factory Membership here….
